🤍Thank you

First and foremost I would like to thank Author Manda Collins and Podium entertainment for granting me the ARC of the Book in return for an honest feedback. I'm truly grateful

🌸 My thoughts...

Romance with a hint of mystery and suspense?

Color me intrigued.

This was my very first book from this author and honestly? I can't complain because I genuinely enjoyed it. It was such a fun, quick read that kept me entertained from beginning to end.

The premise immediately caught my attention. Between the small-town setting, the mystery surrounding the library, and the promise of romance, I knew this was a book I wanted to pick up.

But before I talk about the main characters...

Can we please talk about Stella?

Because I have never in my life fallen in love with someone's pet more than the actual main characters.

Until now.

Stella was absolutely my spirit animal.

I always love when authors include pets in romance books because they add so much warmth and personality to the story. But Stella? She completely stole the show for me. Every scene with her instantly became ten times better.

💞 What Made Me Swoon

The story follows Trey, an architect working on a library that his great-aunt Khaki unexpectedly left to a stranger in her will.

That stranger happens to be Callie, a librarian from Cincinnati and one of Khaki's friends.

Naturally, Callie travels to see the library and that's where she meets Trey.

And let's just say...These two weren't exactly best friends at first.

There was definitely some head-butting, misunderstandings, and tension in the beginning, which made watching their relationship develop even more enjoyable.

What I really liked was how the mystery element slowly brought them together.

Neither Trey nor Callie were actively searching for love, but sometimes life has a funny way of putting exactly the right person in your path when you least expect it.

I loved the overall atmosphere of the story.

The small-town setting felt cozy and charming, and the mystery surrounding the library added an extra layer that kept me interested throughout the book.

Trey and Callie were both enjoyable characters individually, and I found myself rooting for them as they uncovered secrets and spent more time together.

💔 What Stayed With Me

The cozy vibes.

There was something comforting about the combination of a small town, a historic library, a little mystery, and two people slowly finding their way to each other.

And of course...

Stella.

Forever Stella.

🌙 A Small Wish

While I really enjoyed Trey and Callie as individual characters, I personally wished there had been a little more chemistry between them.

I wanted a bit more tension and emotional intensity so I could fully feel their connection.

I also found myself wanting a little more from the mystery aspect. I think I built up certain expectations in my head, so when everything wrapped up, the ending didn't hit quite as strongly as I hoped it would.

I would have also loved to learn more about the characters' family backgrounds because there were moments where I felt that additional depth could have made me connect with them even more.

🌷 Final Page

Overall, this was such a quick, fun, and entertaining read.

The small-town setting was charming, the mystery kept things interesting, the romance was sweet, and Stella completely won my heart.

If you're looking for a cozy romance with a touch of mystery and a lovable cast of characters, I would definitely recommend giving this one a try.

And if you're anything like me...

Don't be surprised if Stella ends up becoming your favorite character too. 🐾🤍
