✨ A Soft Glimpse

An accidental pregnancy romance filled with yearning, devotion, emotional vulnerability, and a hockey player who fell first, fell harder, and never once pretended otherwise.

๐ŸŒธ My Thoughts...

This is easily one of my favorite 5-star reads of all time.

I devoured this book exactly the way I knew I would.

I knew I was going to love it.

I knew it would become a favorite.

And somehow it still exceeded every expectation I had.

The moment I finished the last page, I was already missing it.

And honestly?

That is always the sign of a truly special book.

This is without a doubt going straight into my reread collection because there is absolutely no way I'm letting go of Barry and Hannah anytime soon.

Also, can we talk about the fact that with this book Kath officially made me a fan?

Everything about this story had me hooked from the very first page.

The characters.

The chemistry.

The emotions.

The yearning.

The love.

It was everything I wanted and so much more.

As someone who absolutely loves an accidental pregnancy trope when it's done right, this book delivered everything I could have hoped for.

๐Ÿ’ž What Made Me Swoon

This story follows Barry Wright, a famous hockey player, and Hannah Harvey, who works for her family's janitorial company.

The two meet during one unforgettable night in New York, completely unaware of who the other really is.

They're instantly drawn to one another and share a connection that neither of them expects.

Then life happens.

Hannah discovers she's pregnant.

Barry has no idea.

And by the time fate throws them back into each other's lives, everything has changed.

But Barry?

This man didn't even attempt to hide how gone he was for her.

Not for a second.

Every single action screamed:

"I love you."

Even when he wasn't saying the words.

The way he was patient with her because he understood she needed time.

The way he practically inserted himself into her life because he refused to let her face anything alone.

The way he constantly showed up.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Barry Wright was the definition of actions speaking louder than words.

And the YEARNING? Good lord.

This man yearned for Hannah like she was the answer to every prayer he had ever made.

The way he happily accepted whatever little piece of her she was willing to give him.

The way he made sure she never settled for less.

The way caring for her seemed as natural as breathing.

The way he wanted to be involved in every part of her life.

The way he loved her long before she fully realized it.

At one point I genuinely started wondering where people find men like Barry Wright because clearly I have been looking in all the wrong places.

๐ŸŒน Hannah Harvey, My Girl

Hannah was everything.

And I mean EVERYTHING.

I connected with her character so much throughout this story.

This woman was pregnant, working early mornings as a janitor, handling responsibilities left and right, tackling projects around the house, and somehow still managing to keep going.

She was strong. Independent. Fiercely determined.

And just stubborn enough to make me love her even more.

When Barry re-enters her life, she genuinely believes they are only going to be co-parents.

Because in her mind?

There is no way someone like him could want someone like her.

Meanwhile Barry is standing there being completely and utterly obsessed with her. The irony had me screaming.

What I loved most about Hannah was the way she saw the parts of Barry that everyone else overlooked.

The vulnerable pieces.

The softer pieces.

The parts of him hidden beneath the fame and hockey career.

And once she saw those parts?

There was no turning back.

It was only a matter of time before she fell just as hard.

๐Ÿ’” What Stayed With Me

The realism.

That's what stayed with me the most. The characters felt real. The emotions felt real. The struggles felt real.

Nothing felt forced.

Everything unfolded naturally, allowing me to completely immerse myself in their story. And then there's the chemistry.

The chemistry? HOT.

The yearning? ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

The emotional connection? Beautiful.

The spice? Let's just say Mr. Wright definitely knew what he was doing because SIR...

The mouth on you.

Respectfully. I was unwell.

๐ŸŒ™ A Final Thought

This book gave me everything I wanted from an accidental pregnancy romance.

A hockey player who was hopelessly gone for the woman he loved. A strong heroine who knew her worth.

Beautiful emotional moments. Heart-melting yearning.Fantastic chemistry.

And a love story that felt genuine from beginning to end.

I laughed.

I swooned.

I melted.

And I loved every single second of it.

This wasn't just a great read.

It was the kind of book that reminds me exactly why I love romance in the first place.
