✨ A Soft Glimpse
An emotional, swoon-worthy workplace romance filled with yearning, vulnerability, healing, tension, and a man so perfect he genuinely altered my brain chemistry.
🌸 My Thoughts…
Let me start this by asking the most important question first…
Where can I get a man like Jett Parks?
No seriously. I’m asking for research purposes.
Because I’m pretty sure I fell in love with this man way before Sofia even realized she did 🤺
Everything about this book was EVERYTHING to me.
Not just the story itself, but the connection I felt with the characters too. The way this book beautifully portrayed love, vulnerability, strength, emotional intimacy, and chemistry genuinely touched me in ways I didn’t expect.
I was extremely excited to read this book because I already had pretty high expectations going into it…
And did it meet those expectations?
Absolutely yes.
In fact, there were certain moments in this book that healed parts of me I genuinely didn’t realize needed healing.
💞 What Made Me Swoon
This story revolves around Jett and Sofia.
If you’ve read the previous book Deep in Love, then you already know their connection had been subtly building for a while—and honestly? That only made me even more excited to finally read their story.
Jett is a popular social media personality, travel host, and documentary creator, while Sofia works as his production coordinator after taking the job for a better salary opportunity.
But THESE TWO together?
Oh my god.
They’re the type of couple where everyone around them can clearly see they’re meant for each other except… them 🤣
And Jett Parks?
THIS MAN.
There genuinely wasn’t a single moment where I disliked him.
I’ve come to realize that as much as I love all kinds of MMCs, there is just SOMETHING different about a man with long hair or a man bun because why is that instantly ten times hotter 😭
And Jett?Yeah, he’s the standard I fear.
Down bad doesn’t even begin to explain this man.
More like:
down-obsessed-to-a-point-where-I-can’t-help-it.
The way he was always gentle with Sofia, the way he never judged her for anything, the way he reassured her every single time she spiraled as if he had been doing it his whole life…
MY HEART.
And don’t even get me started on how attentive this man was.
The way he remembered every tiny detail about her, the way he understood her without her even needing to explain herself, the way he constantly looked for excuses just to spend time with her, the way he spoiled her, the way he would agree to literally anything just to see her smile…
Sir please stand UP.
“You never have to thank me for spending time with you. It’s a selfish desire, really.”
UM??? EXCUSE ME???
And honestly, underneath all the swooning moments, reading about Jett also made me emotional in ways I didn’t expect because there were so many moments where I simply wanted to step into the book and give him the biggest hug imaginable.
Now SOFIA??
Oh this girl felt so personal to me.
I saw so much of myself in her that at times it genuinely felt comforting—like I wasn’t alone.
She radiated eldest daughter energy so strongly that I physically needed to sit down for a second 😭
Sofia is innovative, creative, hardworking, compassionate, and the type of person who constantly pours into everyone else while forgetting how amazing she is herself. And all she really needed was someone to help her finally see that.
The way she understood Jett so effortlessly, the way she always saw him for who he truly was beneath everything else, the way she gravitated toward him naturally, the way she constantly made sure he never felt alone…
Their connection just felt safe.
And together?
Their chemistry, the emotional vulnerability, the sexual tension, the banter, the humor, the confessions—everything felt so beautifully balanced.
💔 What Stayed With Me
The emotional intimacy between Jett and Sofia.
The way they noticed every tiny detail about each other, understood each other without words, and slowly became each other’s safe place felt so deeply comforting to read
🌙 A Small Wish
Honestly, the only moments that frustrated me were the scenes where I desperately wanted to jump into the book, smack both of their heads together, and scream:
“OPEN YOUR EYES PLEASE.”
Because the yearning and obliviousness levels were truly testing me 🤣
Also seeing little glimpses of Mateo and Charlie again made me so happy, but now I’m even more excited for Amy and Oliver’s story because those tiny moments between them already have me INVESTED.
🌷 Final Page
This book was emotional, comforting, romantic, vulnerable, funny, spicy, and healing all at once.
Jett and Sofia completely stole my heart and honestly? This is one of those books that lingers with you long after finishing the last page.
An easy 5-star read for me.
