✨ A Soft Glimpse

A story filled with tension, obsession, vulnerability, and a love powerful enough to soften even the coldest hearts.

🌸 My Heart Says…

This entire series was everywhere on BookTok when it first blew up, and I still remember watching my friends obsess over it nonstop. The second they finished reading the books, I borrowed them immediately because I needed to know what the hype was about.

And honestly? It completely lived up to it.

The only real struggle I had was deciding whether I should start the book or actually focus on my semester notes since exams were literally that week.

Did I abandon studying to start this book anyway? Absolutely.

(No regrets though—I responsibly finished the rest of the series after exams.)

Going into Twisted Love, I genuinely had no idea what to expect. All I knew was:

  • my friends wouldn’t stop talking about that phone call scene
  • and everyone kept mentioning the recurring winks

At first, I was confused.

Then I read it.

And let me just say… business calls have never looked the same since.

💞 What Made Me Swoon

Alex Volkov and Ava Chen were everything I didn’t know I needed.

Alex—the cold, brooding billionaire COO (later CEO) who barely lets himself feel anything.
Ava—the warm, sunshine-hearted aspiring photographer who somehow sees through every wall he tries to build.

Grumpy x sunshine will forever be one of my favorite tropes, especially when it’s done right. And this book? It absolutely delivered.

The chemistry between them was insane. The tension, the vulnerability hidden underneath all the banter and spice—it made every interaction feel intense in the best way possible.

But Alex… this man.

For someone who convinced himself he didn’t have feelings for her, he sure spent the entire book proving otherwise.

The way he slowly unraveled around Ava, the way she became his weakness without him even realizing it at first—it was so satisfying to watch.

And when he did realize he messed up?
This man literally gave up everything—his position, his company, his pride—and spent an entire year groveling just to earn her forgiveness and win her back.

Now that is commitment.

Ava, on the other hand, really grew on me throughout the story. In the beginning, she came across a little naive at times, but over the course of the book I loved seeing her become stronger, more confident, and willing to stand up for herself.

What made her relationship with Alex so beautiful was that she always saw beyond his cold exterior. While everyone else only saw the intimidating billionaire, she saw the person underneath all of it.

And the way she continued to love him, even after everything?

Yeah… that got me.

💔 What Stayed With Me

The vulnerability hidden beneath all the tension and chaos.

As intense and spicy as this story was, there was still something emotional underneath it all—the idea of being fully seen and loved despite all your flaws.

🌷 Final Page

This book was dramatic, emotional, addictive, swoon-worthy, and honestly such an experience to read.

The chemistry? Top tier.
The tension? Incredible.
The spice? Definitely delivered.
And Alex and Ava together? Completely unforgettable.

An easy good read for me and definitely one of the books that made me understand the Bookstagram obsession.
