The Hot Honey Hideaway by Harper Graham (Netgalley ARC Review) - Love at the first sight which felt so right💞🍯📷⛵
🤍Thank you
First and foremost I would like to thank Author Harper Graham and Bookouture for giving me the ARC of the book in return for an honest review. I'm truly grateful for this.
✨ A Soft Glimpse
A cozy summer workplace romance set in a charming small town, filled with instant chemistry, yearning, emotional vulnerability, and moments that will make you giggle, swoon, and fan yourself all at once.
🌸 My Heart Says…
The tension between these two from literally the first page had me completely hooked.
This is definitely one of those books you read, fall absolutely in love with, and immediately hope the author writes more books in the same world because you simply don’t want to leave it behind.
And honestly?A summer workplace romance with a small-town setting?
IM SOLD.
This story revolves around Joe and Krista—two people whose lives completely change after one single glance at each other.
Krista owns The Hot Honey Hideaway while also taking care of her grandparents, leaving almost no room for a personal life of her own. Then enters Joe, a traveling journalist who originally planned to simply visit, take pictures, and leave.
Well…
That plan practically evaporated the second this man locked eyes with her.
The chemistry between them sparked instantly and I was INVESTED immediately. It genuinely gave love at first sight energy and I ate every second of it up.
💞 What Made Me Swoon
What I loved most was watching how their connection slowly deepened through all the little moments, conversations, and situations that brought them closer together.
The more they got to know each other, the stronger the tension became until the yearning between them became impossible to ignore.
And somehow it all felt so wholesome and beautiful at the same time.
Joe… THE MAN YOU ARE.
This man was so unbelievably down bad for her from the very beginning.
When he thought he’d never really find a place—or a person—that felt like home, he found Krista instead, and suddenly everything made sense to him.
The way he understood her without her even needing to explain herself fully, the way he constantly yearned for her, the way he looked forward to every second with her despite knowing their time together was limited…
UGH.
And the way he admired her in general??
So soft. So beautiful.
Also, watching this man try and fail to resist her every five business seconds was honestly hilarious because his resistance genuinely did not exist 🤣
Krista on the other hand?
My girl absolutely stole my heart.
She’s hardworking, resilient, selfless, and the type of person who spends so much time taking care of everyone else that she completely forgets to make space for herself.
The way she cared for her grandparents, the way she handled everything at the Hideaway, the way she always put others first—it made me admire her so much.
And when Joe entered her life, it felt like for the first time in a long time she found someone she could fully be herself around without hiding parts of herself.
The way she yearned for him, the way she found peace in him, the way he slowly started consuming her thoughts…
Everything about them together just WORKED.
Their chemistry, their tension, the magnetic pull between them, the way they naturally gravitated toward each other—it was all so beautifully done.
And I also have to mention how much I loved the found family dynamics and the small-town atmosphere because it made the whole story feel extra cozy and comforting.
💔 What Stayed With Me
The emotional vulnerability between Joe and Krista.
Underneath all the flirting, chemistry, and tension, there was this softness between them that made their connection feel genuine and comforting.
🌙 A Small Wish
That said, I did feel like the plot became slightly lengthy at certain points and could have been tightened up a little.
But honestly? Other than that, I genuinely had such a good time reading this.
🌷 Final Page
This book was cozy, emotional, swoony, funny, and spicy in all the right ways.
A perfect comfort read for summer romance lovers and definitely the kind of story that leaves you wanting more from the series.
Would absolutely recommend—and I genuinely cannot wait to read the rest of the books.
