Rating: 3.5/5⭐

✨ A Soft Glimpse

A fun and tension-filled workplace romance where clashing worlds, stubborn attraction, and undeniable chemistry slowly turn enemies into something much more dangerous.

🤍 Thank you

First and foremost, I would like to thank Amber Elwood and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Truly grateful for the opportunity.

🌸 My Thoughts…

Now listen…

Workplace romance and enemies to lovers together?
Yeah, say less.

The moment I read the blurb for this book, I immediately knew I wanted to read it. And honestly, if you’re someone who enjoys quick workplace romances with tension, banter, and a little bit of “I want you but I absolutely shouldn’t,” this book is definitely for you.

💞 What Made Me Swoon

This story revolves around Bryce and Saralie.

Bryce works as a fertilizer sales rep for a company called Turnchem, while Saralie is an environmentalist and PhD researcher whose project is being funded by the very same company she strongly disagrees with.

And THAT setup?
Oh, I was immediately invested.

The tension between them started brewing the second they met, especially because Saralie absolutely hated everything Turnchem stood for. You could practically feel the conflict building underneath every interaction.

Both Bryce and Saralie gave major:
“I want something I shouldn’t want.” vibes

And honestly? I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time because adding a slight forbidden element into enemies to lovers always hits different.

Bryce… this man was HOOKED the moment he saw Saralie.

And the funniest part? He couldn’t even hide it.

Meanwhile Saralie looked like she was two seconds away from physically throwing him into another dimension every time his cocky self opened his mouth 🤣

But Bryce? Oh, he absolutely loved pushing her buttons.

The way he constantly sought reactions out of her, the way his eyes automatically searched for her in every room, the possessiveness creeping in before he even fully understood his own feelings…

Okay Mr. Possessive, I see you.

And despite him starting off cocky and way too full of himself, I genuinely loved seeing Bryce’s character development throughout the story. The more layers that got peeled back, the more I found myself liking him.

Saralie, on the other hand, was SUCH a strong FMC.

Smart, resilient, funny, passionate, and genuinely brilliant at what she does. I loved how determined she was when it came to standing up for what she believed in. She’s the type of woman who fights tooth and nail for the things she cares about, and honestly? That made me admire her even more.

And together?

The chemistry, the tension, the banter… it all worked so well.

I also really loved the found family dynamics and the small-town atmosphere woven into the story because it made everything feel extra cozy underneath all the tension.

💔 What Stayed With Me

The constant push and pull between them.

Even when they annoyed each other, there was always this underlying attraction simmering beneath every conversation and interaction.

🌙 A Small Wish

That said, I do wish the enemies-to-lovers aspect had been pushed just a little further.

I wanted more tension, sharper dialogue, and slightly more emotional resistance between them before they fully gave in because at times it felt like things moved a bit too quickly.

There were also moments where I struggled to fully connect with the characters emotionally the way I expected to, but overall it still ended up being such an enjoyable read.

🌷 Final Page

Overall, this was such a fun, cozy, tension-filled romance that completely delivered on the workplace enemies-to-lovers vibes.

Quick, entertaining, flirty, and filled with chemistry—definitely a cute read that I really enjoyed and would absolutely recommend.
