✨ A Soft Glimpse

A beautifully heartbreaking story of grief, healing, and a love that finds you in the darkest moments—only to remind you that you’re not alone.

🌸 My thoughts…

Whoever hasn’t read this book yet… I’m actually jealous of you.

Because this is that kind of book—the one that makes you wish you could wipe your memory just to experience it all over again for the first time.

This was my first book from this author, and honestly, I went in already intrigued. The cover pulled me in, the blurb sealed the deal, and the hype on Instagram? Impossible to ignore.

But nothing could have prepared me for how much this story would stay with me.

Daniel Garcia and Josefine Rezendis—Josie—had me falling in love instantly, without warning.

💞 What Made Me Swoon

This story is built on pain, grief, and healing—two people carrying their own losses, finding comfort in each other in the quietest, most beautiful way.

Josie, an ex-swimmer, navigating the weight of losing her estranged mother.
Daniel, a baseball captain, burdened by the loss of his brother and the guilt that follows him.

Together… they just fit.

Their journey from friends to lovers didn’t feel rushed—it felt inevitable. The kind of connection that exists even before love is spoken out loud.

Daniel’s golden retriever energy paired with Josie’s black cat energy? Perfection.

The chemistry between them was there from the very beginning—even in their friendship. The tension, the quiet longing, the way he was so obviously down bad for her from day one…

And those little notes—
“I’m so happy you’re here.”

That line didn’t just heal something in her… it healed something in me too.

The way Daniel refused to give up on her, no matter how much she tried to push him away—it made me feel something so deeply. Like maybe, just maybe, a love like that exists. One that stays.

(And let’s be honest… the spice? Top tier. The mouth on this man?? Mr. Garcia… I see you.)

Josie, on the other hand, is the kind of character you slowly unravel. Strong on the outside, guarded, but so soft underneath. All she needed was someone to truly see her.

And Daniel did.

But what made it even more beautiful was that she saw him too. Beyond the easy smiles and light personality—she understood him, helped him face his fears, and loved him without judgment.

💔 What Stayed With Me

The way they became each other’s safe place while still carrying their own pain… it felt real. Messy, imperfect, but so deeply human.

🌙 A Small Wish

Honestly, nothing major. This story felt complete in its own way— it didn't end with a cliche happy ending but it definitely ended with a kind they rightfully deserve.

🌷 Final Page

Their ending wasn’t the kind you expect—but it was the kind they deserved.

Beautiful, real, and quietly hopeful.

This wasn’t just a love story—it was a story about healing, about staying, and about finding light in someone else when everything feels dark.

A book I wish I could read again for the first time.
