Where it hurts by Julia Soren (Netgalley ARC Review) - she hates her best friend's brother but that didn't stop him from falling for her❤️🔥🐎🤩
✨ A Soft Glimpse
A heart-wrenching small-town romance filled with quiet yearning, deep loss, and a love that lingers long after the last page… this story wraps around your heart and refuses to let go.
🤍 Thank You
First and foremost, I would like to thank NetGalley, Julia Soren, and her team for providing me with an ARC of this book. I truly appreciate the opportunity.
🌸 My Thoughts
This book was quite unexpected for me, and it also marks my first read from Julia Soren. A heart-wrenchingly beautiful small-town romance filled with angst, yearning, and just the right amount of spice 🥵, it had me completely hooked from beginning to end.
Nathan, our MMC, was everything. His patience and quiet longing made him incredibly easy to fall for 😭. Ellie, our FMC, carries the weight of a tragic loss that has shaped her into someone strong on the outside, yet deeply loyal and grounded at heart. The chemistry between them was undeniable and beautifully written.
💕What I Loved
One aspect I truly admired was how the story portrayed the raw and valid emotions that come with grief—it felt authentic and deeply moving. The emotional depth of the characters made the story feel real and relatable.
🌙 What Could Have Been Better
I personally felt that including more flashback moments from their childhood, particularly around their shared memories and the central incident, could have strengthened the emotional connection even further.
🌷 Final Thoughts
Overall, this was a deeply emotional and touching story that stayed with me long after I finished reading. Despite a few elements I wished had been explored more, it was still a beautiful journey of love and loss that many readers will resonate with.
