Love Overboard by Kandi Steiner (Netgalley ARC Review) - Second chance romance with lots of drama ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ’ซ

Rating: 4/5⭐

✨ A Soft Glimpse

A story filled with aching love, second chances, and a connection that refuses to fade—even under the brightest lights and hardest circumstances.

๐Ÿค Thank You

First and foremost, thank you to Kandi Steiner, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.

๐ŸŒธ My Thoughts…

I’ve never really been drawn to reality show settings, and I often found myself skipping books with that premise. But Love Overboard made me want to take a chance—especially with the promise of angst and second-chance romance—and I’m so glad I did.

This book completely pulled me in.

The setting felt immersive, the characters felt real, and the emotions were so raw and beautifully written. I swooned, I sobbed, I laughed… it truly gave me everything I look for in a romance.

Finn and Ember completely stole my heart. To me, they felt like star-crossed lovers in the most beautiful, painful way. The lingering chemistry, the stolen glances, the quiet tension that never really fades—you could feel it in every single moment.

๐Ÿ’ž What Made Me Swoon

What I loved most was how they kept showing up for each other, even when life made it difficult. Their connection never felt forced—it was natural, messy, and deeply emotional.

Finn… he was everything. The way he gravitated toward Ember like a moth to a flame, the quiet yearning in his actions, and the strength he showed when she needed him most—it was just beautiful. And that pet name? I melted.

Ember was just as incredible. Strong-willed, resilient, and deeply caring—she was not only a survivor but also a source of strength and motivation. Some parts of her journey felt so real that it was impossible not to feel everything alongside her.

๐ŸŒ™ A Small Wish

I do wish the story had been written in dual POV—I would have loved to get deeper insight into Finn’s thoughts and emotions. A few more detailed flashbacks, instead of brief glimpses, could have made the story feel even richer.

๐ŸŒท Final Page

This book completely changed my perspective on reality TV–themed romances. Emotional, intense, and deeply moving, Love Overboard is a story that lingers long after the final page—and one that I’ll be thinking about for a long time.
