This is the kind of book that found me exactly when I needed it the most.

During a time when I was going through a rough patch, this story somehow became my comfort space—something I kept going back to whenever I needed a sense of warmth and escape. Saying I love this book feels like an understatement… it’s the kind that settles deep within you and stays.

Going in, I expected a simple bad boy–good girl romance. But it turned out to be so much more than that. It was emotional, empowering, swoon-worthy, filled with angst, and yes… just the right amount of spice.

Leo and Darby didn’t just feel like characters—they felt real.


💞 What Made Me Swoon

Leo… this man has my whole heart. A walking, talking green flag who has been quietly, deeply in love for years. The kind of love that doesn’t fade, doesn’t rush, just waits.

His patience—with Darby, both in the past and after all those years—was something so rare and beautiful. The world may have changed him, but never when it came to her. Never her.

And that pet name? I melted.

Darby was just as incredible. She’s someone who loves with her whole heart—compassionate, selfless, and someone who puts others before herself (something I couldn’t help but relate to deeply). The way she stood by Leo, the way she became his anchor… it was so quietly powerful.

It was always them. Even when time and distance tried to say otherwise.

There was something so comforting about their love. The kind that doesn’t need to be loud to be strong. The kind that finds its way back, no matter how long it takes.
