✨ A Soft Glimpse

A tragically beautiful story that breaks you in the quietest ways, only to gently put you back together with love, healing, and a connection that feels like home.

🌸 My thoughts…

Close to You by Nissa Renzo didn’t just touch my heart—it shattered it and slowly, carefully pieced it back together.

This is the kind of book you call tragically beautiful.

I cried, I laughed, I swooned, I broke… and I loved every second of it.

I picked this up when I was deep in a reading slump, not expecting much—just hoping it would pull me out of it. And honestly? It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Millow and Ashby… they didn’t just stay with me—they became a part of me.

💞 What Made Me Swoon

Millow, my girl… my heart broke for her from the very first chapter. What she went through was unimaginable, something no child should ever endure. And yet, despite having her voice taken away, she remains so loud in her kindness, her love, and her presence.

She is strong in a way that feels quiet but powerful—compassionate, understanding, and endlessly resilient.

What I loved most was how Iris, Gus, Weston, and Ashby saw her for who she truly was from the very beginning. They didn’t treat her differently—they simply loved her. And that meant everything.

Ashby… where do I even begin?

This man is the standard.

From the moment he met Millow, something in him knew. Even before he understood it himself, his heart chose her. He’s kind, protective, deeply understanding, and carries so much strength despite everything he’s been through.

The way he stands by her, protects her, feels her pain as his own… it was heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. The way he understands her without words, the way he yearns for her—it’s the kind of love that stays with you.

And Millow? She chose him just as deeply.
The way she calms him, supports him, shares everything with him… the way she feels safe only with him—it was so pure, so real.

They are each other’s home.

💔 What Stayed With Me

The found family in this story… the friendships, the quiet support, the unconditional love—it added so much warmth to an otherwise heavy story.

And the way they all came together for Millow? That kind of love lingers.

🌙 A Small Wish

I do wish we had gotten a little more insight into Ashby’s past. I feel like exploring that deeper would have made his journey even more impactful.

🌷 Final Page

This book is more than just a story—it’s an experience. One that breaks you, heals you, and stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

An easy five-star read, and one I know I’ll carry in my heart for a very long time.
